LOW PRESSURE LAMINATE TYPES

There are low pressure laminates with plain or decorative paper on one or both sides. Laminates that only have decorative paper on one side can have kraft paper on the back impregnated with melamine resin. Thickness’ available are 6mm, 9mm, 12mm,16mm, and 19mm in nominal dimensions of 1.22 by 2.44 meters.

These materials are widely used in the furniture and construction industries, specially for vertical surfaces. But they are also used for horizontal applications and in such cases they must not be exposed to harsh wear conditions (e.g. partition walls, wall coverings, partition screens, shelves, doors, closets, etc.)

Applications

Applications for this product are endless on furniture vertical surfaces and partition screens according to the final use of the finished product. As a structural panel, low pressure laminates are an assembling element in the manufacturing of a finished product and only requires an appropriate cutting, drill, and grooving technique in order to simplify and increase the manufacturing of almost all kinds of furniture

1. Partition screens, doors, fixtures and screens. This product only requires to be protected on the edges with edge covering tape (Resiband) in order ,to avoid damage caused to the laminate by humidity in the environment.
2. Furniture manufacturing. It is possible to cut, groove, drill and assemble pieces made with this laminate which is useful to virtually all furniture manufacturing systems.

There are several types of low pressure laminates depending on the kind of paper used in lamination. Front side with back side. One design sheet on the front side and one backer sheet on the back side. Front side without back side. One design sheet on the front side and no pressed sheet on the back, only natural particle board. Both sides. One design sheet on the front side and one design sheet on the back
